Waste
Internal Audit of waste is conducted at our operational location to identify opportunities for improving waste performance. External Audits for waste management are planned for our operational locations for FY’25.
Because ash constitutes a significant portion of our waste, we have committed to achieving 100% utilization of fly ash. Other waste materials are minimal in quantity and are either recycled, reused, or disposed of through authorized agencies in accordance with regulatory guidelines. As part of our innovative approach, we have built a state-of-the-art ash silo at our Ratnagiri plant with a capacity of 45,000 metric tonnes the largest in India and among the biggest in Asia to effectively manage and ensure complete fly ash utilization.
We strive to recycle/reuse all our waste and dispose no waste, whether hazardous/non-hazardous or flyash.
We conduct trainings on energy efficiency, waste reduction, water efficiency management programs for our employees to raise awareness of energy, water and waste.
During FY 2024-25, JSWEL became certified in Zero Waste to Landfill.
